The Hottest Bridesmaid Dress Trends for 2014

What's on trend for bridesmaids in 2013? Which styles is more prefer by the bridesmaid dress designers and top celebrities? Which are the hottest colors for your bridesmaids dresses in the year ahead? Here you will get the answer.
Illusion Necklines and Lace
The first of which being the increasingly popular illusion neckline. A little bit of sheer fabric just above the bust of a gown can really alter the entire look of the dress into something absolutely stunning. The bridesmaid dresses are usually simple accompaniments to the elegant and eye catching wedding dress. The new trend is adding texture to the bridesmaid dresses in the form of lace and sheer silk. Not into the whole sheer look? How about dressing your wedding party in dresses accented with lace? Once a fabric seen only on the bride, lace has continued to make its way into the bridesmaid lineup - bringing a touch of femininity with it.

Peplum
Peplums were seen this summer on brides and now a modified and toned down version is coming in the spring for the bridesmaids! For those who are unfamiliar, a peplum is basically a short overskirt or ruffle that is attached at the waistline of a dress. This style has been trending all over so it may be something to consider this spring!

One way to add a touch of style to the bridesmaid dress that allows for options in any wedding is the one shoulder dress. Much like the lace fabric, one-shoulder style dresses have mostly been seen on brides in the past and have only recently made their way into the world of the bridesmaids.

White or Ivory Dress
Okay, we've saved the most surprising 2013 trend for last. It's a white dress! Yes, we know it sounds crazy but ever since Pippa Middleton made her grand entrance at the Royal Wedding, interests in white bridesmaid dresses have been growing fast! Not only the bride is wearing white next spring, a new trend for spring will be classic white bridesmaid dresses and even white flowers. Maybe you'll be up for taking a risk this spring and will give this style a try!

Ivory bridesmaid dresses

2013 Bridal Market wasn't a bold gown trend or something Vera Wang did (like black wedding dresses) - but instead, a recurring theme in bridesmaid dresses. And that theme is that your maids are about to steal the show. Sorry, brides! Dress your maids in emerald green and you can accessories with bouquets in rich deep reds - blooms featuring dark winter berries look breathtaking. Purple is another color I predict we-ll be seeing a lot more of in 2013. It also works well as a statement shade - maybe put your bridesmaids in deepest mauve and dress your flower girls in white with purple sashes. Brights show no sign of losing popularity and will work well with the current trend for mismatched bridesmaid dresses. Think hot pink, turquoise, emerald green, yellow and orange. Read more
